What is Bi-Carb Soda made of?

McKenzie’s Sodium Bicarbonate is a fine white powder derived from soda ash which occurs naturally in our environment.  The soda ash is mined and refined. It is known under different household names such as Baking Soda, Sodium Bi-Carb or Bi-Carb Soda.  Just as it does in its natural form, McKenzie’s Bi-Carb Soda releases carbon dioxide when in contact with an acid. It is therefore commonly used as a raising agent in baking. Bi-Carb Soda also helps regulate pH and preforms brilliantly as a neutralising cleaner and deodoriser.
